Discover the Artist
There are several stages to bringing a creation to completion, but it is above all connected to its artist and the inspiration of the moment... My creative process is constantly evolving. The idea comes to me suddenly; my influences are everywhere around me, drawing inspiration from nature and spirituality... Fleeting and magical, that moment when an image appears to me like a flash or sometimes materializes even in my dreams... It's crucial to quickly take note because it evaporates, especially upon waking, as consciousness gradually returns to the reality of the early morning! I almost always make a draft of my painting, either in my sketchbook or on my tablet... Then I develop this creation until I feel it’s the right time to choose the canvas and begin its materialization... First, I choose the right size, then I prepare it until the base texture suits me. Stroke after stroke, I rely on my sketches and try to transcribe that initial vision and the message I derive from it with my own skill, sometimes clumsy. As minutes and hours pass, instinct, letting go, and improvisation take over and it’s here, when my universe takes shape, that I transcend myself and nothing else around me exists: time stops… ‘’It’s a fusion between me and my canvas, a private and secret conversation that no one should know before it’s finished…’’ Generally, when I start a canvas, I first look for the best background, then I incorporate my motifs and angelic characters using reliefs (plaster, sand, ropes, etc.). Once the base is dry, I move on to various color mixes . To finish, I add reflections and more light with touches of gold here and there: inks, golden paints, and gold leaf, all guided by my intuition… Without any concern for realism, I work my subject first through volumes to give it depth, which in my imagination allows it to come to life, followed by the painting stage and the harmony of colors. Then, through the application of gilding. I love to see the painting come to life over the hours and the reactions that the colors will have with each other, how one can enhance and sublime the other, just like a loved one who by their mere presence can make us better and more beautiful! My creative process may change depending on my inspiration, the season, and my mood, and it will be described in the detail of each painting.

Tempera, Acrylic, Oil & Watercolor...

My paintings are primarily composed of acrylic paint and gold leaf. I work with a brush and a painting knife, using high-quality paints, pigments, binders, and varnishes. ‘’I enjoy playing with reliefs and gold leaf in each of my creations...’’ The frames and canvases I use are sturdy with woods selected and manufactured in France: Original watercolor models are created on 100% cotton paper, made acid-free. Depending on the format, I use paper weighing 300 and 325 grams. My color palette consists of extra-fine watercolors made from the highest quality pigments: the pans from Sennelier, which enhance each creation with unmatched brilliance due to the honey they contain. I also use pigments from W&Newton and Schmincke. Thanks to these high-quality colors and sheets, and a varnish layer applied at the end of drying, you can be assured of a work that will withstand the test of time. Like the paintings on canvas, original watercolor models come with their certificate of authenticity. For my illustrations intended for limited editions (cards, stickers, posters...), I work both with watercolor (pans and pencils), then I scan my work to complete and touch it up with a graphic tablet. Depending on the number of copies printed and the desired paper quality, I print them myself or call on my printer.
